The Atlantic City Expressway was shut down this morning after a fatal accident involving a pickup truck that killed one adult and injured 5 others. The pickup overturned about 7 am and all six passengers were ejected. Two of those injured were children. Police are not certain how many were inside the cab and how many were riding in the bed.

The NBA draft is next week and the 76ers have the third and 10th picks. One of the top three players, Joel Embiid is undergoing surgery today for a stress fracture in his foot. Embiid has also dealt with back issues in the past. If Embiid is still there at #3, the Sixers may decide to pass in favor of someone less injury prone.

The former William Penn High School has been sold to Temple University. The School Reform Commission permanently closed the school on North Broad Street last night and sold it to Temple University for $15 million. Part of the property will be converted into athletic fields and recreation space. The school building will be used as a job training academy.

Sports
The Phillies try to extend their four game win streak tonight in St Louis with the Cardinals.

Weather
Mix of sun and clouds today. 82 in Center City.
