West Goshen Township Supervisor, Robert White was killed yesterday in an accident at the ShopRite on West Chester Pike. White was leaving the store on his lunch break when he was hit by a pickup truck driving in reverse that then drove through the store wall. The female driver is cooperating with the investigation into the accident. 77 year old Robert White was pronounced dead at Chester County Hospital.

A man was shot and killed last night outside the Dell Music Center in Strawberry Mansion at a concert for peace. About 8:30 police were called to the scene at 33rd and Huntingdon St. The victim was one of 600 people attending the “Philly Helping Philly” concert for peace, a rap concert held to raise awareness of, and put an end to violence in the city. Surveillance cameras captured the incident and police are searching for the shooter.

Philadelphia’s Little League World Series entry, the Taney Dragons were one of 16 teams honored in a parade yesterday in Williamsport. Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Dave Winfield was the parade’s grand marshal and encouraged all the kids to savor the moment and take the opportunity to meet other players from around the world. The games in the Little League World Series begin today.

The Phillies are off tonight and play the Giants in San Francisco tomorrow.

Mostly sunny. 79 in Center City.
