State of Emergency, National Guard, Curfew After Fires, Looting in Baltimore Riots LIVE Video

Rioters have caused chaos, panic, and havoc throughout Baltimore on Monday following the funeral of a young man who died last week in police custody hours after being arrested. Those arresting officers have been suspended and the arrest is being investigated. Thousands filled the New Shiloh Baptist church this morning to remember 25-year-old Freddie Gray.

Protests quickly turned to violence as rioters hurled rocks and bricks at police. Police and civilian cars were smashed and set on fire. Several establishments including a cash checking company, a CVS pharmacy, and a liquor store have been looted. That same CVS was also set ablaze. Rioters even sliced fireman's hoses to thwart their efforts. The Gray family has pleaded with those out in the streets to stop and urged calm.

The Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, has declared a State of Emergency and activated the National Guard to help in the situation. An additional 5,000 police officers from the Mid-Atlantic region have been requested to help the Baltimore Police force. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has enacted a 10 p.m. - 5 a.m. curfew starting Tuesday. Newly sworn Attorney General Loretta Lynch says she will send Justice Department officials in the coming days. Baltimore schools will be closed on Tuesday. At least 15 officers have been injured and two dozen protestors have been arrested.
