Philadelphia Police responded to Central High School in the City's Olney neighborhood following an apparent bomb threat. The school was evacuated around 8:00 a.m. this morning. School district officials says the school was evacuated following a bomb threat that was made over the phone.

The federal investigation concludes today in the deadly Amtrak derailment last year. According to sources, the engineer of the train that derailed last May in Philadelphia killing eight people was likely distracted as he sped to more than 100 m.p.h. Among the possible reasons the engineer may have lost his bearings was radio chatter about a southbound SEPTA train that had been hit with rocks just before the derailment.

UPDATE: The NTSB released their final report this afternoon. They say that engineer Brandon Bostian was distracted by radio communications about a nearby SEPTA train being hit by a rock and lost 'situational awareness.' Thinking he was past the curve at Frankford Junction he accelerated the train to 106 mph. Instead, the train barreled into the 50 mph section of track. NTSB board member Robert Sumwalt said: "He went, in a matter of seconds, from distraction to disaster." The speed limit past the curve is 110. The NTSB said that if Positive Train Control had been installed this accident would have been avoided. It was in place on the southbound lanes and has since been installed on the northbound tracks.

Sam Hinkie is no longer calling the shots for the 76ers, but the fruits of his labors will be harvested tonight. The Sixers have a shot at the #1 overall pick in the NBA draft if they are lucky enough in tonight's lottery. Bryan Colangelo and the Sixers have a 26.9 percent chance of landing the top pick in the NBA draft.
