Two people are dead in what is being called a murder-suicide on the campus of UCLA in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The shooting prompted a massive tactical response on the campus involving hundreds of officers from numerous agencies. The campus was put on lockdown as SWAT teams searched the school. The all clear was given after about 2 hours. The shooting itself happened in an office in the Boelter Hall engineering building. Authorities discovered two men dead from gunshot wounds. A gun and a note were found nearby.

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 1.9 million vehicles in North America to replace passenger-side front air bags made by Japanese supplier Takata Corp. The recall is an expansion of the ongoing Takata air bag recall. It has been found that some of their bags expand too rapidly and may send shrapnel into the passenger. There have been 11 deaths worldwide because of this defect. The affected Ford models include: are the 2007-2010 Ford Edge, 2006-2011 Ford Fusion, 2005-2011 Ford Mustang, 2007-2011 Ford Ranger, 2007-2010 Lincoln MKX and 2006-2011 Lincoln MKZ, Zephyr and Mercury Milan. Ford will contact customers and replacement will be free.

Two people were injured when a small plane crashed into a hanger in Chester County on Wednesday morning. A 68-year-old and 70-year-old man were in a 1940s-era Aeronca Champ two-seat aircraft when they lost power just after takeoff from the New Garden Airport around 9 a.m. They tried to return to the airfield but crashed through the side of a hanger. The two men sustained minor injuries and were taken to Christiana Hospital. No one was inside the building at the time and there was minimal damage inside. However, the plane left a big hole through the outside of the hanger.

Tonight,
Partly Cloudy, temperatures in the mid/upper 70s this evening in Center City
