Federal and State Authorities conducted a raid of properties owned by Local 98 Union Leader John Dougherty 'Johnny Doc' this morning, as well as the IBEW Union Hall. At the electrician's Union Hall at 17th and Spring Garden Street, FBI agents searched that property and investigators were reportedly also searching Dougherty's home in South Philadelphia, as well as a possible third location. No word yet on what they are searching for.

UPDATE: The City Hall offices of Councilman Bobby Henon and his 6th District offices on Torresdale Ave. have also been searched. He was formerly the political director of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 98. The investigation is apparently a 2-year ongoing joint FBI/IRS probe into misuse of union finances. Over a dozen search warrants were executed by suited agents including Doc's Union Pub in South Philly and Doc's sister's home which is next door to his own on Moyamensing Ave. Agents have been seen carrying out several boxes and some computers from each location.

Pennsylvania investigators have charged six people after recovering more than a quarter ton of cocaine from a Philadelphia warehouse and two vehicles. The defendants are part of a drug ring that smuggled cocaine from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic to the United States. The 511 pounds, or 232 kilograms, of cocaine was estimated to have a street value of $23 million.

Former Eagles all-pro Brian Westbrook, who has been an analyst at Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia since 2013, tweeted Thursday night that he had been booted from the network’s "Eagles Postgame Live" program. Westbrook says CSN Philly offered him a 30 minute show on Thursdays, which the running back declined.
