Police are now investigating after a 14-year-old girl was struck by a stray bullet while sitting in a home in the Logan section of Philadelphia. The shooting took place on the 4400 block of North Gratz Street at around 6:10 pm on Monday night. Police stated that the bullet came from a block away at 4500 and Gratz Street. The 14-year-old girl was taken to Einstein Medical Center where she is currently in stable condition. Police are continuing to investigate into the shooting, and are figuring out if this is connected to a shooting that took place earlier Monday at 15th and Venango Street.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a stabbing occurred in a North Philadelphia clothing store Monday afternoon. The stabbing happened at the City Blue store on the 900 block of North Broad Street at around 3:25 pm Monday. Police say a robber came into the store, and that is when a 31-year-old man tried to stop him which ultimately led to the victim getting stabbed in both hands. The man was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital where his is currently in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and police are still continuing their search for the suspect involved in the stabbing.

A church youth-group leader has now been arrested on charges of sexual assault against two teenage girls that were at his church. Officials say 22-year-old Michael Walusimbi turned himself into authorities on Monday for the crimes he had committed. Walusimbi is accused of assaulting a 13 and a 15 year old girl on two separate occasions while he was working at Oxford Valley Chapel in Middletown Township. Walusimbi is charged with sexual assault as well as many other related charges and his bail has been set at 10% cash of $50,000. Authorities say that Walusimbi may have assaulted others, and ask those victims to come forward to testify against him.
