A van hopped a curb and plowed into crowds of people on Thursday afternoon in Barcelona's historic Las Ramblas district killing 12 people and wounded at least 80 more. Authorities are describing it as a terrorist attack. Las Ramblas is a popular pedestrian only path filled shops, cafes and stalls. Traffic can drive on either side of the wide central area. The van apparently jumped the curb onto the central section and swerved from side to side hitting people. Barcelona is located in the northeastern part of Spain in Catalonia. The Catalonia president has said that there have been 2 arrests so far in the attack, neither driver. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility, putting out a statement on its news agency that the perpetrators were soldiers of ISIS.

UPDATE: 5pm EST - 13 dead, 100 injured.

A father and son in Montgomery County have been arrested for child pornography after hundreds of images were found on their computers. On April 13th, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip from AOL about the uploading of 27 images that appeared to be child pornography. Authorities traced the IP address to a home on Edge Hill Road in Glenside, Abington Township, where 68-year-old Harry Ennis and his son, 29-year-old Patrick Ennis, both live (pictured below). Officials found over 600 sexually explicit images and 2 videos on Harry's electronic devices. The 27 images were uploaded from a computer in Patrick's room. Harry is charged with 100 counts of Sexual Abuse of Children/Child Pornography. He failed to make $75,000 cash bail and is being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. Patrick is charged with Sexual Abuse of Children/Dissemination, Sexual Abuse of Children/Child Pornography and Criminal Use of a Communications Facility. He posted $25,000 cash bail. Both are scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing on August 24th.

The Delaware County man accused of killing an 18-year-old in a road rage incident in West Goshen Township earlier this summer waived his right to a preliminary hearing this morning. 28-year-old David Desper of Trainer is charged with first and third degree murder, possession of an instrument of crime, and reckless endangering. It happened on June 28th on Rt 100 near Rt 202. Desper is accused of shooting and killing 18-year-old Bianca Roberson while driving as they both tried to merge. Many family and friends of Roberson came to the Chester County courthouse in West Chester today to attend the hearing. Desper will now stand trial.

Weather
Tonight, Mostly Cloudy, temperatures in the mid/low 80's this evening in Center City.
