A police officer shot and killed a woman who police say tried to run him over while fleeing a shoplifting in Deptford Township, New Jersey. Officers were called to the Marshalls at 1800 Clements Bridge Road around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday for a shoplifting in progress involving one man and two women. One of the three suspects, all from Philadelphia, was wanted for a prior homicide. When they arrived on scene, Raoul Gadson was fighting with store security and fled on foot. The two women, 36-year-old LaShanda Anderson and 27-year-old Chanel Barnes, got into a rented Nissan Armada. Police ordered Anderson, the driver, to stop but instead she accelerated towards them. She struck the first officer, a patrol captain and 27-year veteran, with the open driver's side door. She was then headed towards the second officer, a sergeant and 17-year veteran, who took out his weapon and fired three times. Anderson was struck twice. The car veered and came to a stop across the parking lot. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Barnes was arrested and charged with shoplifting. Gadson is still at large, but will be charged with second-degree robbery and assault. The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the incident. The sergeant will be placed on administrative leave pending an investigation of the incident. He was taken to the hospital to be treated and released. The patrol captain was not seriously injured.

Despite the rain, thousands came out in Center City for the 30th LGBT Pride Parade and Festival. The parade started at 13th and Locust in the Gayborhood and made its way down to Penn's Landing. It's part festival, part parade, and full on celebration of equality, diversity, and inclusion. Organizers took the opportunity of this 30th anniversary to look back on the history and see how far they've come since the parade started in 1988. This year's headliner at the Great Plaza was comedian Margaret Cho.

Philadelphia Police are searching for the gunmen who opened fire on a group of people Saturday night, 6/9, injuring four men and a child. It happened around 11 p.m. on the 2000 block of 20th Street near Susquehanna Avenue in North Philadelphia. Police say that a group of people was just hanging outside of their house when shots rang out from across the street. They found 41 shell casings on the ground. The four injured men ranged from 21-48. Two are in critical condition and two are in stable condition. A 5-year-old boy was also struck in the leg. He is in stable condition. At least 4 men in hooded sweatshirts were seen fleeing the scene.
