A 15-year-old girl who took her parents' car for a ride Monday afternoon struck a parked car, then fled the area, but not before leaving her little brother behind. Authorities say the teen got into a minor accident with a parked vehicle. She then, according to police, ran away, leaving her 9-year-old brother behind in the car. The boy was eventually reunited with his parents. Police say when the teen returned home, they issued her a ticket.

A man in his 20's is dead after police say he lost control of his vehicle and hit a parked car while driving on Essington Avenue in Philadelphia Sunday morning. Police believe the man was driving at a high speed and say he hit several other vehicles before he crashed. No other cars were said to be involved in the crash.

A Plymouth Township police officer was shot and killed Thursday evening responding to a hit and run crash in Montgomery County.
K-9 Officer Brad Fox was pursuing a hit and run suspect which led to a violent confrontation between the two. The officer was shot in the head. Officer Fox's K-9, Nick, was also shot but survived and is fine.
The suspect was killed, but authorities would not disclose how he died or the circumstances that led to Thursday’s violence.Read More |

A settlement has been reached in a nearly year long discrimination case between an HIV positive Delaware County boy and the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Under the settlement, the school pays $700,000 to the boy and his mother. Also, $15,000 in penalties imposed by the U.S Department of Justice. The 14-year-old boy tried to enroll in the Milton Hershey boarding school. They discontinued his application because he has HIV.

Two Philadelphia police officers have been arrested and charged with Theft of Services from three Philadelphia utility companies.
Philadelphia Police Lieutenant Aisha Perry and Police Officer George Suarez were arrested on Tuesday after an investigation by the Department’s Internal Affairs Bureau and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office showed that the two had been stealing service from PGW, PECO and PWD.

Facing a $12 million deficit, the Bristol Township School District cut where it could, taking aim at transportation and cutting more than $2 million out of its bus service.

| The labor dispute between Philadelphia and the firefighters' union is heading into its fourth year. For a second time, the city appealed an arbitration panel's decision this June, which ruled in favor of firefighters. They haven't had a contract since 2009. Philadelphia police have arrested a man after they say he held a 63 year old man captive in his basement for four months. Dwayne Young held the victim against his will, stealing his monthly social security checks. Further details regarding this case were not immediately released. Authorities are investigating.

Police have confirmed that a body found floating off the coast of Wildwood on Sunday is in fact a missing Middle Township police officer, Jason Sill. He was deemed missing after the Coast Guard found his unoccupied boat floating one mile off of the Wildwood coast on Monday, Aug. 27th. On Sunday, Sept. 2nd, the body of a deceased male was found floating about 6 miles off the coast of Wildwood. A tattoo located on it appeared to match the tattoo reported to be on Jason Sill.
