The Eagles Training camp will have more workouts on Monday and Tuesday before breaking camp on Wednesday. One of the injured Eagles who returned to practice was wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.
The Eagles next preseason game will be next Monday against the Patriots, and the top unit is expected to get extended work.

For two years, Camden's worked on plans to shake up the police force and create the Camden Metro Police Division, which would be run by the county. Last night the Mayor said a police layoff plan will be filed by the end of the month to fastrack the process. All 270 current officers could lose their jobs by the end of 2012, although the mayor says all will be eligible for almost 400 estimated new positions. The police union is considering legal action.

Authorities are investigating a possible attempted child luring in Skippack last week. An 8 year old boy reported that while he was playing baseball along the side of his house, an older model Dodge Charger stopped on the street in front of his home. The driver then yelled over at the boy asking him to come closer to help find something for the driver. The boy ran into his home and told his mother what happened.

In the wake of the deadly shootings in Wisconsin at a Sikh Temple, Millbourne police are taking precautions and upping patrols near a local Sikh Temple near Upper Darby. This group of Millbourne Sikhs is praying for those lost in Wisconsin, and hoping its beliefs of peace, love, and freedom of religion are heard. Members say they will hold a candlelight vigil at Love Park between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Garrett Reid, the oldest son of Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid, was found dead Sunday morning in his room at the club's training camp at Lehigh University. He was 29. The police chief at Lehigh, Edward Shupp, said a 911 call was made at 7:20 a.m., and that Garrett Reid was deceased upon a policeman’s arrival at the campus dormitory. Garrett Reid had rebounded from his troubled past and was assisting the Eagles’ strength coaches at camp.

The road ahead for the School District of Philadelphia doesn't look good after the release Thursday of the findings of an independent consultant. At the top of the list of recommendations: the district should close between 29 and 77 schools over the next five years. The consultant found the district has far too many empty desks and needs to close dozens of schools to increase the percentage of desks filled, getting that figure closer to 85 or 90 percent. A suspect carrying several weapons, including an AK-47, was arrested Tuesday evening aboard a Broad Street train, crowded with rush-hour commuters, at the Fairmount Station. In addition to the AK-47 assault weapon with a magazine carrying 40 live rounds of ammunition, authorities say the suspect had on him a .38 revolver and a 12-inch bayonet. Inside the bag, in addition to the weapons, police say they found $700 cash, seven containers of suspected marijuana and 22 Percocet pills.

Fast moving storms dumped about one to two inches of rain in a short period of time today, leaving streets flooded in Wildwood and North Wildwood. A group of four were huddled under an umbrella near Cedar Avenue seeking shelter during the storm when a bolt of lightning struck nearby and traveled up the umbrella, injuring a male and female. The two were taken to the Cape Regional Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Wynnefield Double Shooting, Philadelphia Orchestra Out Of Bankruptcy, Phillies Win 8-0

Police are investigating a double shooting in the Wynnefield section of the city last night near 54th and Berks streets.
One of the men who was shot drove himself to Presbyterian hospital. The second man, who was shot in the face, is in critical condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Authorities are investigating whether the two men were shooting at each other.
