An airline passenger who apparently became disoriented and tried to open a cabin door on a US Airways Express commuter jet from Maine to Philadelphia was arrested Thursday on a charge of interfering with a flight crew. The flight was diverted to Boston's Logan International Airport. A flight attendant subdued the disoriented man, and a passenger watched him until the plane landed safely.

The duck boat civil trial is officially over, and lawyers for the victims announced that they have reached a settlement that is far above the $1.8 million cap set by a 160-year-old maritime law. The families will receive $15 million of the settlement, and the remaining two million will be split among the survivors.

Voters in Ocean City New Jersey have decided to keep the town dry, rejecting a proposal that would have let restaurant patrons bring their own wine or beer to enjoy with dinner. The issue is one that has challenged Ocean City for decades. It lost Tuesday by a 2-to-1 ratio. A man was stabbed by a family member in Philadelphia Tuesday night, once in the neck and once under both armpits by his 52-year-old brother inside a residence on North Preston Street.

A homicide investigation is underway in the Frankford section of the city where an 18-year-old man was shot in the back and in the right side yesterday. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he later died. The motive in this shooting is not clear at this time. It is not known whether any arrests have been made.

Yasine Harvey was shot at close range while leaving a corner store in West Philadelphia Wednesday night. He had just bought some food for a friend's sick aunt when a dark colored car with tinted windows drove by and someone inside opened fire. He died from his injuries Thursday morning. Police believe the target was one of the friends in the group he was with.

A 1-year-old boy, John Edward Burkholder died Sunday night at a Berks County farm while playing with a piece of farm equipment. The 1 year old accidentally fell into a soil mixing machine at the Burkholder Farm Market and was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of death was asphyxiation.

A driver is facing DUI charges after a crash that killed two people in the city's Tacony section Thursday morning. A Camaro struck a second car, sending both vehicles onto the sidewalk. The vehicle that was struck caught fire, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
