An airline passenger who apparently became disoriented and tried to open a cabin door on a US Airways Express commuter jet from Maine to Philadelphia was arrested Thursday on a charge of interfering with a flight crew. The flight was diverted to Boston's Logan International Airport. A flight attendant subdued the disoriented man, and a passenger watched him until the plane landed safely.

A homicide investigation is underway in the Frankford section of the city where an 18-year-old man was shot in the back and in the right side yesterday. Yasine Harvey was shot at close range while leaving a corner store in West Philadelphia Wednesday night. He had just bought some food for a friend's sick aunt when a dark colored car with tinted windows drove by and someone inside opened fire. He died from his injuries Thursday morning. Two people were shot in Philadelphia Wednesday night. One shooting occurred at 62nd and Callowhill Streets in West Philadelphia, where police found a 16-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds.
