Asking the soundman to cut off all amplification, he sang "Fly Me to the Moon" without a microphone and danced on stage with his daughter on a duet of Old Friends.

Last year in Pennsylvania, eight people died and more than 600 were injured in 3,000 crashes involving deer, according to PennDOT.
Nationwide, about 200 people die and tens of thousands are injured in about 1.6 million deer-vehicle crashes that result in more than $3.6 billion in vehicle damage, according to AAA.
Fall is typically the most dangerous period, as mating season adds to the hazards. Autumn hunting seasons also get deer moving.

Philadelphia School District officials on Wednesday recommended closing nine schools and making grade changes at 17 others due to declining enrollment, aging facilities, and a brutal fiscal situation.
But the School Reform Commission signaled that perhaps the changes did not go far enough.
If the SRC adopts the recommendations next year, these would be the first large-scale school closings in the district since 1981.
Each closing would save the district... Read More |

Valley Forge Park is set to begin its second annual deer-culling operation, in which U.S. Department of Agriculture marksmen with rifles and night-vision goggles take aim at deer lured to baited sites. Citing safety concerns, the park won't disclose the dates of the shootings, only that they would occur between November and March. Last season, sharpshooters took out 600 deer, and the park aims for 500 this time.
A similar cull will take place in Lower Merion Township in... Read More |
