The 31st annual AIDS Walk/Run Philly 5K was held on Sunday morning, those participating raised over $275,000. The walk began Sunday morning in Eakins Oval, then went down Martin Luther King Drive, ending back in Eakins Oval. Over 10,000 people participated in the event. The $275,000 raised in the event will be used to support nearly 30,000 people who are living with HIV in the Greater Philadelphia area.

Officials in Delaware County are now investigating a deadly train accident that took place in Norwood. The incident took place at around 4:30 pm on Thursday on the unit block of West Winona Street. Officials have stated that a pedestrian was struck and killed by an oncoming Amtrak train. SEPTA had to suspend service on the Wilmington Line while police investigated the scene. Service has since resumed on the line, but police are continuing an investigation.

Philadelphia Police are investigating a deadly shooting after a man was shot while sitting in his car in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Officers responded to the call at around 5 pm to find a man in his late 20s in a car with multiple gun shot wounds. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Police are continuing to search for the suspect or suspects responsible.

An 84-year-old woman is now in critical condition after she was struck by a car in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia. The incident took place on the 8000 block of Pine Road at around 4:30 a.m. Police say that the woman was struck by a silver Chevy Malibu while she was crossing the street. Police are now asking for the public's help in finding a man who has gone missing. 72-year-old George Ran Hudson was last seen on Saturday at his home on the 2700 block of North 20th Street. Hudson's family says that he suffers from dementia and walks bent over. He is described as a black man, 5' 4" with brown eyes and gray hair. Penn State University has now suspended one of its fraternities after a student suspected of drinking was found unconscious. University officials are currently investigating Delta Tau Delta's involvement in the incident after the 18-year-old student was found unconscious near the frat's house back on September 28th. A leak of phthalic anhydride caused a hazmat situation in South Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place at Ashland's manufacturing located on the 2800 block of Columbus Boulevard. The agent, which is used in the making of plactics that go into fiberglass, was being released into a containment area in the facility. One pedestrian was injured Monday morning after they were struck by a SEPTA bus in Center City. Police have stated that the pedestrian was struck by a Route 27 SEPTA bus at the intersection of Broad and Vine Streets at around 9:30 am on Monday. The victim was then taken to a local nearby hospital. The extent of the victim's injuries is not known at this time. The incident is still under investigation.
