Former Mayor Vaughn Spencer appeared in court on Tuesday after he has been accused of selling power in his office for campaign contributions. Police say that they have now found the mother who reportedly left her 8-month old baby inside of a Bensalem hotel and never came back. 34-year-old Erica Avila-Lopez was found at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she was undergoing a medical procedure. This past Saturday afternoon, Lopez was seen on the hotel's security camera leaving the premises. Police have now placed a suspect in custody after he injured a man in a hit and run accident in Center City. The incident took place at around 2:20 am on Broad street near Lombard Street. Police have stated that the driver hit the victim and then sped away, his car was later spotted by an officer at 13th and Catherine Streets. Police in Gloucester County are now investigating a fatal crash that took place in Franklin Township on Thursday. The crash happened at around 6:30 pm on the 3100 block of Delsea Drive. Police say that a mini van crashed into a car at the location and one of the persons involved in the accident was pronounced dead at the scene. The other injured victim was taken to a local hospital. Police are still investigating into the crash to see what the cause was.

Police are now investigating after two officers and a civilian were injured in a car crash Wednesday night. The incident took place on Stetson Avenue and Upsal Street in the East Mount Airy section of Philadelphia at around 9 pm. A Bucks County man is now facing several charges after he reportedly ran over his wife in the East Falls section of Philadelphia. Police say the driver, Andrew Ryan, was speeding when he swerved his car across Lincoln Highway. This caused Ryan's wife to be thrown from the car because the passenger side door was ajar. SEPTA officials are now dealing with a spider problem in and around the Spring Garden El Station in Northern Liberites. Officials say that the spiders have been dropping down out of the light fixtures onto waiting passengers, some even as big as 2-3 inches. SEPTA is very concerned about this problem and have taken action. Officials say that they had an exterminator come in and spray the area, as well as cleaning the light fixtures to get rid of the spiders.

Police are now investigating after one man was left dead after a hit-and-run incident on the Schuylkill Expressway in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. The victim, 30-year-old Sean Patrick Granger, was hit on the eastbound side of the highway on the Montgomery Drive off ramp at around 10:30 pm on Saturday. The panel of judges voted for former Assistant District Attorney Kelley Hodge, who received the most amount of votes among the four candidates up for the position. A 13-year-old boy is now in critical condition after severely injuring his leg when trying to jump onto a train. The incident happened just after 5 pm in North Philadelphia on Wednesday. Police say the boy was trying to jump onto a moving CSX train on the Conrail tracks. The boy was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, where he later had to have his leg amputated due to the severe leg injury.
