A Philadelphia doctor has pled guilty to peddling prescription drugs from a now closed Philadelphia clinic that specialized in helping those addicted to drugs. 78-year-old Dr. Alan Summers pled guilty in federal court on Wednesday. Officials say that Summers and two other doctors that worked at the clinic sold around $5 million worth of controlled substance prescriptions to both drug dealers and addicts. Pennsylvania's Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced on Wednesday the potential estimate for the legal costs associated with former AG Kathleen Kane's court case. Shapiro appeared at a state senate budget hearing on Wednesday and stated that an estimated $3.6 million went into Kane's legal fees, including more than half of it to an outside law firm review of tawdry emails. The MaST Community Charter School held their annual enrollment lottery on Tuesday, and many families waited in line for a chance for their kids to be enrolled at one of Philadelphia's most prestigious charter schools. There is only one requirement to enter the lottery, you must live in Philadelphia. Around 9,190 entered the enrollment lottery, but only 96 spots are open for students. Philadelphia Police are now investigating a triple shooting that took place in the Olney section of Philadelphia. The shooting took place along the 5500 block of North American Street at around 7:30 pm on Monday. Police arrived on the scene to find a 19-year-old with a gunshot wound to his right arm, a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the rear, and a 17-year-old boy with a graze wound to the right arm. A Philadelphia Police Officer was injured after she was involved in a dirt bike chase in North Philadelphia on Saturday night. Police responded to a call of gunshots on the 2000 block of Judson Street in North Philadelphia. Once the cops got there, several suspects fled the scene on dirt bikes. Police and SWAT units are on the scene of a barricade situation that is ongoing in Secane, Delaware County. Police arrived at the scene on Providence Road near Westwood Drive at around 2:30 pm on Friday. There is no word on what has led to the barricade situation, or if the person inside is armed. Service was suspended on SEPTA's Media/Elwyn line due to police activity near the line, but has since resumed. This is still an ongoing story.

Temple University's football program has now announced that four of its players are going to participate in the 2017 NFL combine in Indianapolis. The four players are DL Haason Reddick, OL Dion Dawkins, DB Nate Hariston, and RB Jahad Thomas. Dawkins, Reddick and Thomas are all New Jersey natives, and Hariston is from Frederick, Maryland. The 2017 NFL combine will take place between February 28th and March 6th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a twelve-year-old girl was involved in an armed robbery that took place in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. The robbery took place on the 7900 block of Leon street at around 4:30 pm on Thursday. Police say the suspect, who is believed to be a 15-year-old boy, approached the girl and robbed her of her cell phone. Luckily the girl was not injured in the robbery, but police are still searching for the suspect.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a man was critically injured in a stabbing that took place in West Philadelphia on Wednesday morning. The stabbing happened along the 600 block of North 52nd Street at around 9:30 am. The 28-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times and was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition. Police are still searching for the suspect responsible.

The Sixers have now stated that Joel Embiid will not be participating in the Rising Stars Challenge as well as the Skills Challenge during the All-Star Weekend this upcoming weekend. The Sixers said that he will not be participating due to his injured left knee.
