A woman was killed in a house fire that broke out in the Frankford section of Philadelphia on Monday. The fire broke out on the 5200 block of Akron Street at around 4:30 pm on Monday. Officials say that 4 people were inside of the home when the fire broke out. A couple and their child were able to escape, but a grandmother who had been bedridden for several years was unable to make it out of the house. The Pennsylvania SPCA stopped an ongoing dog fight that happened on Sunday. The SPCA arrived at a house on the 600 block of West Diamond Street this past Sunday. SPCA officers arrived on the scene to find one of the dogs dead, but were able to rescue eight other dogs, one of them being seriously injured. The Sixers General Manager Bryan Colangelo has updated Joel Embiid's injury report and says that Embiid has a "very minor meniscal injury" in his left knee. Colangelo also stated that his knee injury is not the source of the pain that has kept Embiid out for nine straight games. Colangelo also talked to reporters after the Sixers beat the Heat on Saturday 117-109 stated that the MRI taken of Emiid's knee showed a small tear and bruise. Philadelphia Police are now searching for a woman who went missing on Saturday. 23-year-old Charlene Gardner of Philadelphia was last seen at around 8:30 am on Saturday after she was dropped off by her caretaker at a friend's house on the 6000 block of Ludlow Street. Gardner is described as a black female, 5' 3", 140 pounds, with black hair. Gardner is diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorders as well. A Collegeville man has now been charged in a deadly ATV crash that happened in Montgomery County. The crash happened Christmas Eve on Greenwood Avenue in Upper Providence Township at around 2:35 am. 32-year-old Steven E. Gismonde has been charged with the death of 21-year-old Sydney Hunter Stone. Gismonde and Stone were riding on the ATV when they failed to stop at a stop sign, and T-boned a car throwing both Gismonde and Stone from the ATV. They were both taken to the hospital, where... Philadelphia Police have now arrested a woman that stole expensive shoes and handbags from a Germantown apartment. 24-year-old Annette Rodriguez turned herself into police on Monday. The theft took place at the Wayne Court Apartments on the 5400 block of Wayne Avenue on January 26th. Police say that the suspects forced open the apartment door and tore through the apartment stealing designer shoes and handbags totaling up to $7,000. Pennsylvania State Police are now searching for a suspect who is wanted for an ATM skimming incident. Footage of the incident was caught at the Wawa store on Arch Street in Philadelphia. Police say the suspect used a fraudulent debit card with the victim's information at the Wawa. The suspect would have previously used a skimmer to create copies of victim's card at another location. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a teen was shot at a Recreation Center in South Philadelphia. The shooting took place at Vare Recreation Center on the 1700 block of South 26th Street just after 6 pm. Police say that the teen was shot in the chest and was quickly rushed to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he is listed in stable condition. Police are still searching for the suspect responsible for the shooting.

Police and US Marshals are now searching for a man who is wanted in the East Falls section of Philadelphia. 25-year-old Rashi Barnes is wanted by US Marshals for warrants from Pennsylvania State Police, Philadelphia Police, and Lower Moreland Police. Authorities arrived at Barnes' apartment on the 4000 block of Ridge Avenue in East Falls at 9 am on Wednesday. The Marshals tried to serve Barnes the warrant but he was able to get away.
