The 76ers had to postpone Wednesday night's game against the Sacramento Kings due the court being too slippery to play on. Sixers officials released a statement on Wednesday night saying the game "has been postponed due to an issue with the surface of the court and with player safety in mind. Arena officials worked diligently to address the issue, but NBA officials determined that the court was not suitable for play." Philadelphia Police are now investigating the suspicious death of a 2-year-old boy in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Police responded to a call just before 12 a.m. on Wednesday of an apparent unresponsive 2-year-old boy on the 600 block of East Clementine Street. When police arrived on scene they found a male and female holding the boy outside of their home. After Green Party candidate Jill Stein filed an Election Contest Petition on Monday to get a recount of votes in PA, the Commonwealth Court has now set next Monday December 5th as the date for a hearing on the petition. Philadelphia Police have now identified the woman who was hit and killed by a SEPTA bus on Monday evening in Center City. The woman has been identified as 64-year-old Linda Procaccino, a resident of Cherry Hill NJ. Police say that she was struck by the Route 9 bus at around 5:05 pm Monday evening while she was pushing a baby stroller across 23rd Street near Chestnut Street. Procaccino was dragged a couple of feet after being hit, and was pronounced dead on the scene when police arrived.... Read More

Philadelphia Police say that a woman was struck and killed by a SEPTA bus Monday evening in Center City. The incident happened after 5:30 pm Monday at the intersections of 23rd and Chestnut Street. The woman was struck by a Route 9 bus when she was attempting to cross the street with her stroller. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene. Authorities say that the baby, who is said to be between 7 and 12 months, was not injured in the incident.

In addition to apologizing to all the passengers affected, Delta Air Lines has now banned the rude passenger for life. The passenger, who has not been identified, was standing in the aisle last Tuesday carrying on, and rudely professing his support for President-Elect Donald Trump. A video was taken and posted to Facebook of the man causing the disturbance and heckling Clinton supporters on the plane. A Police chase broke out on Sunday afternoon in Burlington County that led to a multi-vehicle crash on Route 73. The crash happened at the intersection of Route 73 and Evesham Road in Evesham Township. Police say that the chase started in Voorhees and carried the chase along Route 73. The suspect crashed into several cars which brought the chase to a sudden stop. The suspect was taken out of his car and brought into police custody. The Philadelphia Parking Authority will continue to offer their annual free holiday parking throughout the city at meters. The free parking will be available on Saturdays starting after 11 am. Three people were injured during a shooting that took place in the Juniata section of Philadelphia Thursday morning. The incident happened on the 4000 Block of Howland Street just before 11 am when the three victims were hanging up Christmas lights outside of their home. Many Wine and Spirit stores in Pennsylvania have reported that their credit card machines are completely down, making it a nightmare for customers on the night before Thanksgiving. With machines down, the stores that are affected can only take cash as a form of payment, and many customers were unable to make their purchases.
