Philadelphia Police have stated that 8 people have been arrested as a result of the rowdy celebrations in Center City after the Super Bowl. However, police officials have said that there are a number of people still being sought. Police are searching for a number of suspects who are wanted for breaking into an A.C. Philadelphia Police are searching for a man who is wanted in connection for the sexual assault of a 22-year-old Drexel student. The incident happened at the student's apartment located on the 3400 block of Race Street at around 6 am on Saturday, January 27th. Police say that the suspect was seen driving away in a dark grey Ford SUV. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Philadelphia Police.

With the big celebration of the Eagles' Super Bowl victory Sunday night, many fans took to the streets to celebrate. While most of the celebrating was under control, some of the fans decided to cause a bit of mayhem in the streets of Philadelphia. The window's at Macy's located on Market Street were smashed. The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41-33 on Sunday in Super Bowl LII in Minnesota and are bringing the Lombardi Trophy back to Broad Street. The Eagles put on a spectacular and record setting show on Sunday. Eagles Quarterback Nick Foles threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns. Pennsylvania's highest court will now hear an appeal in a lawsuit challenging Philadelphia's year-old tax on soda and other sweetened drinks. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court stated that it will hear the appeal on whether or not the tax violates a 1932 law prohibiting Philadelphia from taxing a transaction or subject that is already taxed in the state. Philadelphia Police are searching for a woman who is wanted for allegedly abducting and robbing another woman in the Summerdale section of Philadelphia. The incident took place at a parking lot located on the 4600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard at around 7:45 pm. Officials say that a man jumped out of a burning building to safety on Sunday in North Philadelphia. The incident happened on the 3300 block of North 15th Street at around 6:30 pm. Firefighters say that they arrived at the home to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. Officials say that the 33-year-old man who jumped from the home was taken to Temple University Hospital, so far there is no word on his condition. Philadelphia's new district attorney Larry Krasner has created a new position in the DA's officer that will protect immigrants trying to navigate the criminal justice system. The DA's office says that the new position will help people move through the system without facing "disproportionate consequences" due to their status. Former immigration attorney Caleb U. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a man was shot in Center City on Wednesday night. The shooting took place at around 8:30 pm on the 1500 block of Chestnut Street. Police arrived on the scene to find a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right wrist. The victim was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was listed in stable condition. So far no arrests have been made.
