Darby police are now searching for a suspect who is responsible for stabbing a woman to death in her home. The stabbing took place in the victim;s home on the 500 block of Spruce Street in Darby. Police identified the victim as 51-year-old Diane Hart. She was found with multiple stab and slash wounds to the head, neck and chest. A family in Philadelphia was subject to a frightening home invasion on Tuesday night. The home invasion happened in the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia on the 1300 block of Hellerman Street. Two unidentified men broke into the family's house at around 7:45 pm Tuesday night, and held the husband and wife at gunpoint. The Philadelphia mail distribution center is now facing serious fraud accusations. The center was under video surveillance for the past 8 weeks without the employees knowing. The video caught two supervisors allegedly falsifying time sheets so they could receive thousands of dollars in overtime that they didn't earn. Police responded to a call of a domestic dispute that turned deadly between a couple in North Philadelphia Tuesday morning. The incident took place at the couple's house on the 2100 block of South 60th Street. The dispute was between a 20-year-old woman and her 26-year-old boyfriend. The woman stabbed her boyfriend in the neck in the home at around 9 am on Tuesday. The man was rushed to the hospital, where he later died. Philadelphia is planning to revamp 11 low performing schools in the school district. Next week, the district will begin a month of meetings with the community and school quality reviews to determine what to do with each school. The Philadelphia School District plans to revamp the schools by next fall, but does not plan on closing any of them. Police received a report Monday stating that a woman was kidnapped in the Juniata section of Philadelphia. A man reported to police saying that he saw a woman in hospital scrubs being hit over the head and dragged into a car on the 600 block of East Erie Avenue at around 9 pm on Sunday. After investigating into the report, and receiving no inquires of a missing person, Police determined the report was false and no kidnapping took place.

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in an apartment in Chester. The shooting happened on the 2100 block of 3rd Street. Police say several suspects came into the apartment where the victim was with his mother. One of the suspects opened fire on the victim, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The mother of the victim was not injured. The suspects fled after the shooting, and so far no arrests have been made. Police are still searching for the suspects motive.Read More

Two children were struck by a car in Northeast Philly Friday afternoon. The incident happened at around 4:30 at Large Street and Longshore Avenue. Police say the children that were hit were ages 2 and 7. Both of the children were taken to Aria Health Torresdale, and so far there is no word on their conditions. Speed Limit of NJ Transit Train, Two Injured in Turnpike Crash, Police Search for Robbery Suspect

Authorities have discovered the speed limit of the New Jersey Transit train that crashed into the Hoboken Station last week that left one woman dead and hundreds injured. The train was traveling at a speed of 8 mph then sped up for about 30 seconds before reaching 21 mph, which is double the speed limit for entering a station.
