Police are now investigating after one man was left dead after a hit-and-run incident on the Schuylkill Expressway in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. The victim, 30-year-old Sean Patrick Granger, was hit on the eastbound side of the highway on the Montgomery Drive off ramp at around 10:30 pm on Saturday. Philadelphia officials have now voted and decided who will be the interim District Attorney to replace former DA Seth Williams. The panel of judges voted for former Assistant District Attorney Kelley Hodge, who received the most amount of votes among the four candidates up for the position. A 13-year-old boy is now in critical condition after severely injuring his leg when trying to jump onto a train. The incident happened just after 5 pm in North Philadelphia on Wednesday. Police say the boy was trying to jump onto a moving CSX train on the Conrail tracks. The boy was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, where he later had to have his leg amputated due to the severe leg injury. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a man was shot in the head in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. The shooting took place on the 1600 block of Margaret Street at around 9:30 pm on Tuesday night. Police arrived on the scene to find the man unresponsive and he was pronounced dead on the scene. So far there is no word on any suspects or a motive at this time.

Police are searching for the suspects who stole 4 exotic birds at a petting zoo in Berks County over the weekend. The burglary took place overnight Sunday into Monday at the Oley Dairy Turnpike Zoo. The suspects got away with 4 of the birds in the petting zoo, one of them including a 20-year-old African Gray Parrot. Police are investigating after a missing 2-year-old child was found dead in a pool in Atlantic County. Police found the child in a residential pool on South Pitney Road in Galloway Township. Police were searching the area for the missing child, and later found the child unresponsive in the pool. Crews rushed the child to Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center, where he later passed. Police are continuing their investigation into the child's death.

A new proposal is being introduced in Pennsylvania that would increase jail time for heroin dealers. Republican State Representative James Santora introduced the bill on Thursday. The new measure would leave a mandatory minimum prison sentence of five years for first time heroin offenders. The bill would also bring on harsher penalties for drug deliveries that result in serious harm.

Several people were injured in a school bus crash that took place in Moorestown, Burlington County. The crash happened on Route 38 close to Pleasant Valley Road around 3 pm. Police say that the bus was holding 58 passengers at the time, and a total of 22 people in total were injured. All the victims were taken to JFK in Cherry Hill and are said to be in stable condition.

Philadelphia Police are now launching an investigation after a man was injured while being placed in police custody. A video shows police placing the suspect, Kevin Roviro, into handcuffs. But a second video, taken on a cellphone by a bystander, shows Roviro being slammed to the ground by an officer, as other officers tried to keep the surrounding crowd at bay. Police in Camden County are now investigating after a man was found dead inside of a home in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The man's body was found in a home on the 6000 block of Mansion Avenue at around 9:20 pm on Monday. Officers were flagged down by local bystanders near the home and checked out the house. It is still not clear on what was the cause of death, but police are suspecting that it may involve foul play.
