A Taiwanese exchange student who recently pled guilty to threatening to shoot up his Delaware County high school is now facing a federal firearms charge. 18-year-old An-Tso Sun pled guilty on Monday to making terroristic threats. He was sentenced to four to 23 months in prison, but was given credit for time served and immediately paroled to federal authorities for deportation. On Wednesday, 6/6, federal authorities announced that they were charging him with felony possession of ammunition while in the country on a non-immigrant visa. Sun was attending Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast High School in Drexel Hill. In March, he told another student not to come to school on May 1st because he was planning to shoot up the school. He added that he was kidding, but the other student still reported it. Authorities searched his bedroom at his host family's house and discovered ammunition, a cross bow, and other accessories. Sun faces a maximum possible sentence of 10 years imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and three years supervised release if found guilty. Homeland Security, the Upper Darby Police Department, and the Delaware County District Attorney's Office investigated the case. Assistant United States Attorney Sarah M. Wolfe is handling the prosecution.

The Principal and Vice Principal of a Philadelphia elementary school were physically attacked by the parents of one of the school's children on Wednesday. It happened around 12:30 p.m. at Robert B. Pollock Elementary School on the 2800 block of Welsh Road. Wednesday was the annual Family Fun Day at the school. Police say that the parents tried to remove their child from the activities without following the proper protocol for an early dismissal. They were instructed to go to the school office, show ID, and sign the child out. "The mother of the child refused and started an argument," said Philadelphia Police Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum. "She assaulted the VP and the principal saw it and intervened and the father assaulted him." The two administrators did not go to the hospital but they did suffer cuts and bruises. "Teachers, staff, administrators and principals are all considered a protected class, so that automatically becomes aggravated assault," said Rosenbaum. This happened in front the school children.

UPDATE: 39-year-old Nicole Myers has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal Trespass, two counts of Simple Assault, two counts of Reckless Endangerment of Another Person, Disorderly Conduct and two counts of Harassment. Police are searching for 40-year-old Louis Kennedy.

A Lehigh Valley home care physical therapist has been arrested for sexually assaulting an elderly patient. 42-year-old Arnee Rubi is charged with the sexual assault of a 96-year-old man Northampton County man he was supposed to be helping rehabilitate from a hip injury. According to Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli, on May 23rd, the man's granddaughter stopped by the home and witnessed "the defendant moving the victim's hand back and forth in the area of the defendant's groin area." Rubi admitted to police to assaulting the man at least twice. He does not have a prior record, but there could be additional victims out there. He is currently in jail on $50,000 bond. He faces 5 years in prison if convicted. He worked for St. Luke's University Hospital, but is no longer an employee.
