Good Samaritans came to the aid of a woman who appeared to be under the influence while pushing her infant daughter into oncoming traffic. It happened on Tuesday afternoon, 5/14, near 52nd Street and Thompson. One man, Adolpus Carr said, "I had to double park and run out and grab her and she was falling over." Others in the area saw what was happening and rushed in to help the 28-year-old mother and her 2-month-old girl. The mother was taken to Lankenau Medical Center. She did confess to taking narcotics. The baby girl was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. There is an investigation underway but no charges have been filed. Department of Human Services is also investigating.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a 5-year-old boy brought over 20 vials of crack cocaine to his preschool in Cobbs Creek on Tuesday morning, 5/14. It happened around 9:30 a.m. at St. Cyprian's Children Center on the 6200 block of Cedar Avenue. The boy pulled out a sandwich bag containing the drugs. An aide took the bag from the boy and gave it to a manager who contacted police. No drugs were given to out or taken by kids. The boy said he was given the drugs and told him to keep them hidden. The investigation is ongoing.
