Joe Biden Campaign HQ in Philadelphia; Wayne Wawa Murder in Court; Philly 8th Sexiest Accent

Biden for President announced on Thursday that Former Vice President Joe Biden's 2020 campaign headquarters will be located in Philadelphia. "We're proud to anchor our campaign in the birthplace of American democracy," Biden for President campaign manager Greg Schultz said. "Philadelphia is a thriving city and a testament to the American spirit, built by the ingenuity and tenacity of ordinary people who did extraordinary things. Its storied history and celebrated diversity will serve as an inspiration for Team Biden, and is the ideal setting to continue our fight for the soul of this nation." Democrats see Pennsylvania a key swing state in this election, one that Trump won in 2016. Also, both Joe and his wife Jill have roots in the area. Joe was born in Scranton and represented Delaware in the Senate for decades. Jill was born in NJ and grew up in Willow Grove. He will be hosting a campaign kickoff rally on Saturday morning at Eakins Oval open to the public. More information: https://www.mobilize.us/joebiden/event/91132/

The man accused of killing his ex-wife inside a Wawa in Delaware County in March appeared in court on Thursday for the first time. 34-year-old Brian Kennedy is accused of shooting 37-year-old Stephanie Miller multiple times with a rifle inside the Wawa on Sugartown Road in Wayne on March 28. The estranged couple would usually meet at that location to exchange custody of their son. On that day, Kennedy walked straight into the store and fired at Miller in front of customers and staff before turning around and leaving. He was found by state troopers in Glenn Mills overdosing on some drug. He had previously been arrested in 2016 for threatening to kill her at the same Wawa. A restraining order expired last September 2018. He has been ordered held on charges including criminal homicide, first- and third-degree murder, reckless endangerment, and a weapons charge. Arraignment is on May 23rd.

According to Big Seven Travel, Philadelphia has the 8th sexiest accent in the country. Texas, Boston, and New York were 1,2, and 3. New Jersey was 49 and Long Island was 50.
