A Bensalem High School teaching assistant and coach has been arrested for sending explicit messages and making inappropriate comments to several young girls at the school. 27-year-old Donnie Reed of Philadelphia is charged with unlawful contact with a minor, sexual abuse of children, corruption of a minor and other related offenses. Bensalem Police began investigating in October after receiving an anonymous tip. Reed is accused of sending sexually explicit photos and videos to at least 6 girls ages 14-15 years old through SnapChat. He also asked one girl to perform oral sex on him, asked explicit questions of the girls, and requested nude photos from them. He was arraigned and remanded to Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $1 million bail. Police believe there may be more victims. If you have any information, call Bensalem Police at 215-633-3719.

Two Chester County hospitals are now set to close after a deal for their sale fell through. Jennersville Hospital in West Grove will shut down on December 31 and Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville will close on January 31. Tower Health's failed deal with Canyon Atlantic Partners will leave many residents of Chester County without critical emergency care. EMS and ambulance services will have to drive those experiencing acute medical emergencies significant distances to the nearest hospital. This will also increase response time for calls as ambulances have to drive all the way back. 800 people will lose their jobs.

The teenage son of a pizza shop owner shot a robber in the face as the suspect was choking his mother at the cash register. It happened just before 10 p.m. Thursday, 12/9, at Bold Pizza at 15th and Spring Garden Streets. Three suspects entered the restaurant and demanded money. The woman told them the register was locked. One of the men reached across the counter and began to choke her. That's when the 14-year-old boy grabbed a gun from underneath the counter and shot the suspect once in the face. All three men fled the scene. Police followed a blood trail to the subway station and found the injured suspect bleeding heavily. He was taken to Jefferson Hospital in critical condition. Police believe the suspects are also responsible for a pharmacy robbery that happened two blocks away just minutes before this robbery. If you have any information contact Philadelphia Police.
