Surveillance video has been released that shows the 14-year-old son of a Philadelphia pizza shop owner shoot a suspect during a robbery last week. It happened just before 10 p.m. Thursday, 12/9, at Bold Pizza at 15th and Spring Garden Streets. Three suspects entered the restaurant and demanded money. One of the men reached across the counter and began to tussle with the boy's mother over the money. That's when the 14-year-old boy grabbed a gun and shot the suspect once in the face. All three men fled the scene. Police followed a blood trail to the subway station and found the injured suspect bleeding heavily. The suspect was taken to Jefferson Hospital in critical condition. Police believe these three men had also robbed a CVS store just before walking into the pizzeria. Police are looking for the two other suspects.

Philadelphia firefighters responded to large two-alarm fire in Manayunk on Thursday afternoon, 12/16. It happened around 3:30 p.m. on the 4600 block of Flat Rock Road near Leverington Avenue. Heavy flames could be seen coming from the roof of the vacant building. It was brought under control by 9 p.m. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Philadelphia Police arrested three suspects they believe are connected to a series of recent armed robberies targeting watches. Plainclothes officers pulled over a silver Lincoln sedan, thought to be stolen, that was connected to several of the crimes. The suspects identities have not been released but two are 19-year-old and one is 22-years-old. "Obviously there's not a lot I can share. We're still pretty early in our investigation, but having three people in custody that we know are linked to at least two very dangerous robberies, it brings a little bit of solace," said Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw. There have been 9 recent incidents were victims were held up on the street, including a groom who stepped out on the street to get air during his wedding reception.
