At least 3 people have been killed and dozens were injured in a massive vehicle pileup in Schuylkill County, PA, this morning, 3/28. Over 50 cars and trucks are a part of the crash and some caught fire. It happened around 10:30 a.m. on I-81. Brief, but intense, snow squalls have been passing through the entire state of Pennsylvania on Monday. A snow squall is like a 'winter thunderstorm,' a short period of heavy show and wind that reduces visibilities to near white out. They can start and end abruptly. They can be dangerous, especially when driving at speed on a highway when you have no time to react.

UPDATE: 6 people have died. 80 vehicles were involved.

15-year-old Sean Toomey, who was shot while carrying water between his Dad's house and car, succumbed to his injuries. Police made the announcement on Monday, 3/28. The shooting happened around 9:12 p.m. Thursday on the 6200 block of Mulberry Street in the city's Wissinoming section. Initially, police believed that Toomey was the victim of a stray bullet from a possible incident down the street. There were reports that two male suspects attempted to carjack a woman across the street about the same time. Now, authorities say that he may have actually been the target of an attempted carjacking himself. No descriptions of details of a possible suspect(s) have been released. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. Toomey was an organ donor.

A man was shot and killed at a Sunoco gas station in Roxborough on Sunday night, 3/27. It happened around 11 p.m. on the 5800 block of Ridge Avenue. The suspect fired over a dozen shots at the 28-year-old man. The man ran about a block and a half before collapsing and dying. No arrests have been made. The investigation in ongoing.
