An officer of SEPTA transit was attacked yesterday afternoon while trying to end a fight between high school students. He tried to stop a group of girl brawl when a teenage boy punched him in the side of the head. No arrests have been made yet, but the officer is being treated at Temple University Hospital.

A former Philadelphia Traffic Court judge has been charged with bribery in a corruption case that was turned down by the Pennsylvania Attorney General. One person has died and four others were injured in a crash between a car and a tractor trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early this morning. The accident happened westbound between Mid-County and Fort Washington just after midnight. The four injured young adults were transported to Abington Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

A man died early yesterday morning in a one car crash on City Avenue at about 6:30 AM. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, which occurred at about 4:20 AM. The crash destroyed the vehicle and ejected the man from the car. He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he later passed away.
