Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf will be announcing more counties changing to the 'yellow' phase of reopening at a press conference Friday at 4 p.m. He may also announce some counties moving into the least restrictive 'green' phase. There are reports that he will announce that ALL counties, including the hardest hit Southeastern region, will move to the 'yellow' phase by June 5. That is two weeks from now. New Castle County police have arrested a man for a series of assaults on ponies at the New Castle County Carousel Park and Equestrian Center over the past several months. 31-year-old Michael Riego is charged with two counts of bestiality and two counts of burglary. Philadelphia City Council passed a resolution during the stated meeting on Thursday, 5/21, asking the Kenney Administration to hold off on closing the Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy until City Council has had a chance to complete its budget process. Atilis Gym in Bellmawr, Camden County, New Jersey, opened up for a second day against Governor Phil Murphy's emergency closure orders. A crowd of people gathered again outside the gym to show support for the owners' decision. Bellmawr police delivered a second citation to the business for violating the shutdown order. Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf said on Tuesday, 5/19, that he will sign a bill that would allow certain restaurants and bars to serve alcoholic drinks to go. The bill (HB 327 PN 3678) passed overwhelmingly in both the PA House (193-9) and Senate (48-0). Establishments must have a valid restaurant or hotel liquor license and lost more than 25% of their average monthly total sales.
