Police in Glassboro, New Jersey, are investigating an unusual event at a church over the weekend. The suspicious incident happened on Saturday, 10/27, at St. Bridget's Church on the 100 block of Church Street. Three college age men dressed in Halloween costumes approached the church. Eleven people have been killed and six others wounded after a gunman entered a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday morning, 10/27, and opened fire. 911 was called just before 10 a.m. after the suspect had entered the Tree of Life synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood about 10 minutes from downtown. The attack lasted around 20 minutes before the gunman surrendered.

Former Allentown mayor Ed Pawlowski has been sentenced to 15 years in prison on a federal corruption conviction. 53-year-old Pawlowski was found guilty of dozens of corruption charges back in March. He was accused of trading city contracts for campaign contributions. Prosecutors had asked for a sentence of at least 13 years. A woman has now been charged with the murder of a toddler found partially buried in a North Philadelphia park earlier this week. 33-year-old Nyishia Corbitt was arrested in connection with the death of 1-year-old Alina Barnes. Corbitt was charged with murder, possession of an instrument of a crime, false reports, tampering with evidence, obstruction of justice, and abuse of a corpse.
