According to the Daily News:

Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, returning this week from a three-week rib injury absence, said he plans to heed teammates and coaches who have pleaded with him to be more conscious of self-preservation.

"Sliding. Getting down," Vick said, interrupting a question about how he might avoid missing valuable time with injuries. "I've made my mind up. There's going to be times when I can't get the extra yards. I gotta get down. I get too... Read More

The Penn State Nittany Lions are slated to take on Houston in the TicketCity Bowl on January 2nd. It looks as if Penn State was overlooked by at least two better bowl games because of the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal.

Meanwhile, Jerry Sandusky continues to dig himself a bigger grave. ABC News is reporting that his recent interview with the New York Times has “enraged” his alleged victims and that all eight plan to testify against him.... Read More

Asked after the Eagles most recent loss to the Seattle Seahawks about his play, quarterback Vince Young though he played okay, he just needs to take care of the ball. What? Young threw 4 picks on the losing end of a blowout and he thinks he played okay? Wrong answer.

This from CSN Philly:
Bad judgment has been the story of Vince Young’s season. Whether it was back at Lehigh, when he called the Eagles “a Dream Team,” or on the football field, where his... Read More

Eagles Andy Reid Days Numbered?

  by: Rebel - Havertown, PA
started: 11/28/11 7:42 am | updated: 11/28/11 7:42 am

Sunday's Eagles loss to the Patriots has fans hot...so hot that a "Fire Andy" chant filled the air of the stadium during the game.

Two home wins and eight home losses in the past year. The Eagles are 4 - 7... and will most likely not be in any kind of playoff hunt this year.

Who's the fall guy? Andy Reid? Juan Castillo? A short week and a Thursday night road game in Seattle won't heal these wounds. Can it get any worse?

The Phillies have offered salary-arbitration deals to Jimmy Rollins, Ryan Madson and Raul Ibanez. If they accept, the Phillies will negotiate lower salary deals for the players to stay here. Michael Vick will start at quarterback as soon as he is ready to return from broken ribs according to Andy Reid.

Will Vick be ready to face the Patriots Sunday? Reid wouldn’t commit, and says they’re taking it day by day. Vick was the first one to call Vince Young following the Eagles win over the Giants.

It will be a short week of practice for the Patriots as they’re the Monday Night game this week. Count on Eagles coaches studying the Pats closely. ... Read More

  by: iradiotom - Philadelphia, PA
started: 11/21/11 5:33 am | updated: 11/21/11 5:33 am

Playing with backups and their back up against the playoff elimination wall, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Giants 17-10. The Birds overcame injuries to Michael Vick and Jeremy Maclin, who did not play, as well as the mental breakdown of Desean Jackson's 50 yard taunting penalty to beat the New York Giants AGAIN in the Meadowlands.

LeSean McCoy found little room to run, and QB backup Vince Young did just enough to lead the Birds offense to 17 points. The defense played well,... Read More
