This is the Eagles team most Philadelphia football fans expected to see from the start of the season. On Sunday night the Birds ran a stampede over the top ranked Dallas defense on their way to a 34 to 7 blowout. Brain Tumor halts Lions Jerome Harrison from Philadelphia Eagles

Bye week for the Eagles this week. The Eagles had traded Ronnie Brown for Detroit Lions running back Jerome Harrison and a 7th round draft pick in 2013, but the deal was voided Wednesday when Harrison failed his physical.

The Eagles did not disclose why he failed and would not comment on the report , citing both privacy concerns and the fact that Harrison is again a member of the Lions.

The Phillies have delivered on the season of big promise. The pitching staff that graced the cover of Sports Illustrated at the beginning of the season delivered 102 wins despite injuries. What about the Eagles? In the pre-season they picked up some of the best free agents in football. Some fans even labeled it a Dream Team. However the Eagles results so far are nothing to dream about. The Phillies have delivered on the season of big promise. The pitching staff that graced the cover of Sports Illustrated at the beginning of the season has delivered plenty of wins despite injuries. And the Phillies hitters have delivered runs even though there have been slumps. Usually Philadelphia sports fans are labeled with the ugliest behavior. However, in London, Ontario Canada where the Flyers played the Red Wings on Thursday night a fan threw a banana onto the ice at Flyers winger Wayne Simmonds who is black - one of the few black players in the NHL.

Michael Vick Bruised Not Broken

Philadelphia Eagles Michael Vick is listed as day-to-day with a bruised hand, Andy Reid said Monday.

Initial reports said Vick suffered a broken right hand, but Reid indicated a blood vessel in an early scan made it look as if there was a fracture.

Michael Vick thinks he is being hit late every week by opponents, but that referees are not calling penalties when they are warranted.

Citizens Bank Park to host 2012 NHL Winter Classic; Philadelphia Flyers vs. New York Rangers

It was announced today that the Citizens Bank Park will host the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on January 2nd, 2012 at 1 pm. The Philadelphia Flyers will play host to division rivals the New York Rangers. This is the 5th annual staging of the Winter Classic, where obviously the game is played outdoors.

Vick and Maclin Suffer Blows to the Head in Eagles Loss to Falcons

Quarterback Michael Vick was knocked from the game and Jeremy Maclin sat out a few plays in the Philadelphia Eagles loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Vick left in the 3rd quarter after a blow to the head after releasing a pass. Vick was being tackled when his head slammed into Eagles Lineman Todd Herremans. Jimmy Rollins is Activated; Utley To See Specialist; Tonight's Lineup

Jimmy Rollins has been activated from the 15-Day Disabled list and is available to play tonight in Milwaukee off the bench. He would most likely wouldn't have been activated until next week but since Chase Utley did not make the trip with the team, Rollins will take the spot as an extra infielder.

Chase will see Dr. Rob Franks at the Rothman Institute who is a concussion specialist. This is all precautionary. Hopefully Utley is alright after getting hit in the back of the helmet... Read More
