Police in Bucks and Chester counties are investigating the thefts of a particular promotional beer display item. The thefts happened at the Acme in West Goshen and Giant in Caln, both in Chester County, as well as the Acme in Richboro, Bucks County. Thieves made off with 3-foot-tall bobblehead figurines of rapper Snoop Dogg. The statues were part of promotional displays for Corona beer. They are actually 43-inches and worth $200. The Philadelphia School Board voted unanimously 7-0 on Tuesday night, 8/24, to require all teachers and staff members get vaccinated against COVID-19. Details on the mandate still have to be worked out and will be discussed with the teachers' union. Those details include the start date and possible disciple for those who do not comply. Philadelphia Police have released surveillance footage of an attack on a delivery driver by several teenagers in the Queen Village neighborhood last week. It happened around 10:18 p.m. on Tuesday, 8/17, on the 300 block of Christian Street. 38-year-old Zach Lean was making a stop when he was attacked by a group of about 8 teenagers on bikes. Police have arrested a Bensalem man for the deadly shooting of a teenager at a New Jersey gas station over the weekend. 22-year-old Tamir Phillips is charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose in the death of 14-year-old Jesse Everett. FDA Grants Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine Full Approval; NJ to Require Vaccines for PreK-12 Staff-Teachers

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted full approval to the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, 8/23. The mRNA vaccine had been given an emergency use authorization back in December 2020. Over 200 million doses have been administered since that initial authorization.
