The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Friday morning, 4/19, that they will no longer use singer Kate Smith's rendition of 'God Bless America' at games and they have covered up Smith's statue outside of the Wells Fargo Center while they investigate accusations of racism. A man has been arrested and charged with the Bucks County murder of his wife who went missing nearly 40 years ago. 76-year-old William Korzon was arraigned in court on Thursday, 4/18, on homicide, forgery, and perjury charges. He was denied bail. Korzon now lives in central Pennsylvania. His wife, Gloria Korzon, disappeared on March 6, 1981. The couple lived in Warrington at the time. The Justice Department has released a redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian involvement into the 2016 election. Attorney General William Barr delivered a 4-page summary of the report about three weeks ago. The full version released today, Thursday 4/18, contains redactions that fall into four categories. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced on Wednesday, 4/17, that service on NJ TRANSIT Atlantic City Rail Line and the Princeton Branch Dinky Line will resume on May 12th. A 2-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted by the mother's ex-boyfriend from their home in East Mount Airy early Wednesday morning, 4/17, has been returned. It happened around 2:15 a.m. on the 6600 block of Ross Street. The mother and her 21-year-old ex-boyfriend got into an altercation. 28-year-old Kate McClure was in a New Jersey courtroom on Monday to enter a guilty plea and admit to her role in the $400,000 GoFundMe scam. She was charged with 2nd-degree theft by deception and will face 4 years in prison when sentenced in June. She has also pled guilty to a federal charge of wire fraud charge, but has not yet been sentenced. Both state and federal sentences will run concurrently. The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France, continues to burn this evening in the City of Lights. The fire broke out around 6:50 p.m. local time near the roof and quickly spread.
