The state's attorney general was convicted Monday of all nine counts in a perjury and obstruction case related to a grand jury leak. Attorney General Kathleen Kane showed little emotion as jurors announced their verdict late Monday. The jurors agreed the first-term Democrat leaked information about a 2009 grand jury probe to embarrass a rival prosecutor. Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane Found Guilty on All Charges in Perjury Trial

Pennsylvania's top law enforcement officer has been convicted on all nine counts in her perjury and obstruction case. Kathleen Kane was accused of leaking secret grand jury information to the press out of revenge and lying about it in front of another grand jury. She was found guilty of felony perjury and several misdemeanors including conspiracy, official oppression and false swearing.

Berks County Father Responsible for Murder-Suicide; Jury Deliberates in Kane Trial; 4 Heat Deaths

Berks County authorities said today that the father was responsible for the murder-suicide that also left his wife and three children dead. 40-year-old Mark Short Sr. wrote a suicide note and also admitted to buying the gun and shooting his wife, 33-year-old Megan, and children, 8-year-old Lianna, 5-year-old Mark Jr. and 2-year-old Willow. Police evacuated Terminal 8 at JFK airport in New York after Port Authority Police received a call of shots fired in the departures area last night. There were no injuries, no arrests and no confirmation of shots fired. A ground stop had been issued at the airport due to "security" until 11:30 p.m. ET, according to the FAA command system website.

The defense rested on Friday without calling any witnesses in the obstruction and perjury case against Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane. Montgomery County judge Wendy Demchick Alloy asked Kane if she was going to take the stand. Kane said, “I don’t believe it’s necessary for me to testify on my own behalf.” The jury was sent home for the weekend. They'll hear closing arguments on Monday morning before being sent off to deliberations.

At least three people, including a 6 year old boy Mahaj Brown (pictured), were wounded in a shooting last night in East Germantown. A gun battle apparently broke out and some people, including the child who was in a car, were caught in the cross fire. The child is the second 6-year-old wounded by gunfire in Philadelphia this week.
