Bus Crashed into Blue Bell Home; Lizards Found in Wilmington Bust; Woman's Body Found in Frankford

A school bus slammed straight through the front of a home in Blue Bell, Montgomery County, this morning. It happened around 7:45 am on the 100 block of Windermere Drive. The bus was carrying nine students from St. Helena Elementary School at the time. They escaped out the back emergency exit. A couple and their 2nd grader were at home. A passenger jet carrying 148 people crashed Tuesday in the French Alps as it flew from Barcelona to Duesseldorf. Search-and-rescue teams may take a day and a half to get to the remote region, Due to the nature of the crash, no survivors are expected. The Germanwings Airbus A320 plane sent out a distress signal at 10:45 am local time then crashed in a mountainous zone at an altitude of about 2,000 meters (6,550 feet). A chocolate study from the University of Ghana is getting quite a great deal of attention from a meeting in Denver for the American Chemical Society. It's about a way to make chocolate more nutritious. Chocolate in small doses can have a protective effect on the heart. Antioxidants linked to chocolate lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and stroke risk when consumed in small doses. Bloomsburg University is standing by it's decision to dismiss a baseball player from the team following an insensitive tweet directed at 13-year-old Philadelphia Little League star Mo'ne Davis. Junior first basemen Joey Casselberry, reacting to the announcement that Disney was developing a documentary on the young star, tweeted, "Disney is making a movie about Mo'ne Davis? WHAT A JOKE. A former Methacton High School baseball standout was kicked off the team at Bloomsburg University for posting an offensive tweet about Little League World Series Star, Mo'ne Davis. Joey Casselberry heard Disney was making a movie about Mo'ne Davis and tweeted, "WHAT A JOKE. That slut got rocked by Nevada" Casselberry has apologized and taken his twitter account down.

Several cars were broken into overnight in Northeast Philadelphia and it appears the thieves may have been targeting airbags. Five vehicles were broken into, all within about a block of each other in the area of Hartel Avenue and Frontenac Street in the city's Rhawnhurst section. The cars were all Hondas. The windows were smashed out, and in three of them, the airbags were stolen. Officials say airbags are targeted because they can be removed within minutes and can sell for several hundred... Upper Merion police believe that a body found Sunday afternoon is that of a woman missing since last month. 37-year-old Heather Tillette went missing on Thursday, February 26th. She was last seen walking out of Einstein Medical Center on the 500 block of Germantown Pike in East Norriton Township after missing an appointment for treatment.
