A man fell to his death this morning after his card broke down along a busy highway. Delaware State Police say a 26-year-old man fell from the Roth Bridge on Route 1 in Middleton, DE. The man's car became disabled in the southbound lanes of the bridge that cross the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal. He called for a tow truck and also had a friend pick him up. Authorities say one person is dead after a house explosion and fire in northeastern Pennsylvania. It happened Monday afternoon in a home at the Lake Harmony Estates development in Kidder Township, Carbon County. Investigators believe a couple and a worker were inside the home at the time of the blast. An excavation crew and rescue dogs were brought in to search through the rubble.

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams was named the NBA Eastern Conference player of the week on Monday. Carter-Williams joins Shaquille O’Neal as the only two rookies to earn the honor in the first week of their NBA career. Shaq was started his career in 1992 for the Orlando Magic. Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man in West Philadelphia early Sunday that apparently stemmed from a dispute over double parking. The incident happened just before 3 a.m. in the 100 block of North Dewey Street in Cobbs Creek. Authorities say the unidentified man was shot once in the chest after he got into a dispute with a 25-year-old armed security guard who was double parked on the same block.

I had the opportunity to attend a show at the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday Oct 29th. A must do thing if you are ever in Memphis. The hybrid solar eclipse (or an annular/total solar eclipse ) is an extremely rare occurrence. Of the 11,898 solar eclipses listed over a 5,000 year span from 1999 BC to 3000 AD in Fred Espenak’s Five Millennium Catalog of Solar Eclipses, only 569, or 4.8% are hybrids. The gunman suspected of using an assault rifle to open fire on TSA agents inside Los Angeles International Airport this morning is originally from South Jersey. 23-year-old Paul Ciancia has a family address and grew up in Pennsville, Salem County, N.J. Christina and Christopher Gring greeted the bus from North Wales elementary. Their son came off the bus in tears, saying he was being picked on.
