Two ceremonies were held today to swear-in new Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. The first private ceremony was conducted in the Justices' Conference Room by Chief Justice John Roberts. Gorsuch was sworn in again in a public ceremony at the White House Rose Garden by Justice Anthony Kennedy for whom he once served as a law clerk. Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a shooting occurred in the Strawberry Mansion Section of Philadelphia that left one victim dead and another injured. The shooting took place at around 9:40 pm on Sunday on the 2500 block of North Martson Street. Police say that multiple shots were fired in the area, and two people were struck. Philadelphia firefighters battled a fire at a vacant building in Manayunk on Sunday afternoon. It started around 3:30 p.m. near Main Street and Leverington Avenue. The building used to house the former Carmella's Restaurant which closed in 2004. The vacant building is located on Venice Island between the Manayunk Canal and the Schuylkill River. Philadelphia Police have arrested and charged a man who they say started a number of fires, including one at the Famous 4th Street Deli in South Philadelphia. 59-year-old Juan Barkley has been charged with arson, risking catastrophe, criminal mischief and other offenses. On February 12th, he is accused of setting fire to the rear of the deli on the 700 block of South 4th Street. Delaware Authorities are now saying that a young girl who was abducted on Thursday night outside her home in New Castle County was sexually assaulted by her kidnapper. It happened around 7 p.m. on the 4800 block of Sugar Plum Court in the Plum Run community. The U.S. Senate has voted to confirm President Trump's nominee, Judge Neil Gorsuch, to the Supreme Court. Senate Republicans had changed the rules and lowered the threshold to approve the nomination to a simple majority, down from 60 votes, to avoid a filibuster from the Democrats. City Officials are warning Conrail that it is time to improve their location in North Philadelphia. The city has issued citations to Conrail after they have failed to clean up their tracks in West Kensington and Fairhill. Mayor Kenney has stated that the rails are considered "hazardous conditions." The former Amish couple who 'gifted' their 9 daughters to a Feasterville man have entered pleas in their case. The mother, Savilla Stoltzfus, pled guilty to child endangerment. Delaware Police are now investigating after two victims were shot and wounded in Wilmington. The shooting took place on the 2900 block of Bowers Street at around 7:30 pm. Police responded to a call of shots fired at the location. When they arrived on the scene they found two males lying on the street with gun shot wounds.
