The newly opened Dilworth Park outside City Hall is photogenic and worthy of a student film crew from Temple. Not so fast. Ten students from Temple showed up to shoot video when staff members from the Center City District, which manages the park, told the students who had set up a camera on a tripod to interview people, they had to shut down. The City later said there was a rule in place prohibiting professional film companies, and apologized to the students.

Home Depot says the breach of its payment data systems happened in the spring; they didn't spot it until this month. | The NCAA followed recommendations Monday in the second annual report by U.S. Sen. George Mitchell which showed significant progress by Penn State university and the athletic department. An early morning shooting in West Philadelphia has left a man fighting for his life. Police say a 24-year-old man was sitting on the front porch of his home when he was shot twice in the back. A friend of the victim tried to take him to the hospital, but on the way they were involved in a minor car accident. No one was injured in the crash.
