A woman was injured and a man found dead in an apparent failed murder suicide in Montgomery County this morning. The shootings took place around 10 a.m. at a home along the 2200 block of Harvard Drive in North Wales, Montgomery Township. Neighbors reported hearing two gun shots a few seconds apart. Lewis Katz Plane Crash, Chester Police Shootout, Archdiocese Closing 16 Parishes

The co-owner of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Lewis Katz was killed with six others in a plane crash Saturday night in Massachusetts. His death comes just days after his successful buyout of the newspaper with partner Gerry Lenfest. The plane crashed during takeoff when it careened off the runway and burst into flames. Katz and the others on the plane were returning from an event at the home of Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin.

Lewis Katz, a self-made man who built his fortune in New York parking lots, billboards and cable TV, and went on to buy the NBA's New Jersey Nets, NHL's New Jersey Devils and The Philadelphia Inquirer, died in a weekend plane crash. Katz died Saturday night in a Massachusetts crash that claimed six other lives. A Delaware County man has been charged with stealing $357,000 worth of human skin grafts from a Philadelphia hospital. 54-year-old Gary Dudek of Wallingford worked as a sales representative for a Massachusetts-based regenerative medicine firm. He was in charge of placing orders for Mercy Hospital in West Philadelphia. Bear Spotted in Horsham Euthanized; Police Release Video in Holmesburg Tire Slashings

A black bear spotted early Friday in Horsham Township, Montgomery County was eventually euthanized by the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Several people spotted the bear around 2am behind the Wawa on Route 611 near County Line Road. The bear left the parking lot and disappeared back into the woods. When Game Commission officials caught the bear they had to euthanize the animal due to a sever injury to its back leg. They believe this is the same bear that was spotted earlier this week in... DJ Dave Herman Dies in Jail, PATCO Bridge Project, School Budget Denied

Former Philadelphia radio personality, Dave Herman has died in jail. Herman, 78 years old was in custody in a New Jersey jail awaiting trial on charges in a child-sex sting. He was rushed to the hospital Wednesday night from the county jail after complaining of chest pains. Dave Herman introduced the album rock format on the FM dial in Philadelphia in the late 60's on WMMR with a show he called The Marconi Experiment.
