The Cape May Music Festival is celebrating its 24th season of providing a three week festival filled with orchestral and chamber music performances and Irish, country, jazz and brass music. The festival is located in Cape May, NJ.

On June 13th, 2013 at 8 pm, the festival will be presenting the Clarinet Quintet of Brahms from the New York Chamber Ensemble. The performance will be taking place at the Episcopal Church of the Advent. They are performing “The Gypsy in Us.” Read More

The campus of Princeton University was evacuated Tuesday morning after university officials say a bomb threat was called in to the campus to multiple unspecified campus buildings. A statement from the Princeton Police Department stated that in the interest of public safety, the bomb threat is being handled as credible. Contractor Home Searched, Storm Damage in Delaware, McCaffrey Investigated

The home of Griffin Campbell was searched by detectives yesterday and came away with a box of evidence. Campbell is the contractor in charge of the demolition of the collapsed building in Philadelphia. His attorney says Campbell has never had an accident on a demolition job site, the excavating equipment was to be used for clean-up, not demolition, and that OSHA, the City and the Salvation Army inspected the site during demolition.

Eight residents were displaced after a partial building collapse on South Street Monday night. The incident happened along the 800 block of South Street in Bella Vista. There are no reported injuries. It is unclear if the building collapse is weather-related at this time.

New Jersey State Police say two men are facing charges, including allegedly operating a drug manufacturing facility in Atlantic County. Rubin Sewell and Lavelle Davis, of Galloway, were arrested Friday morning in Galloway Township. Troopers from the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit working with the US Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force arrived at the unit block of Buck Drive to serve an arrest warrant on Sewell at his residence. I am a recent convert to being a devotee of Patty Griffin. I really got interested in her work when I saw and heard her as part of the Robert Plant Band of Joy tour. American Kid really speaks to me on many levels; as a fan, as a veteran, as a father, as husband and as someone who has experienced loss.

The concert last week at the World Cafe Live in Philly was a surprising mix of comedy and inspiring music. The night opened with Rebecca Haviland and the Whiskey Hearts. Only one of the four other Hearts performed, yet the music was very well done. Rebecca has a very strong voice with a hint of Bonnie Raitt coming through. She performed six songs with the most notable being a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “ Black Dog”.

Lightning at Merion Golf Course interrupted Tiger Woods' scheduled 6:45 tee time this morning. This is the first official day of practice rounds for the U.S. Open in Haverford Township. The event is expected to draw more than 25,000 spectators a day.
