Casey Kasem, the internationally famous radio broadcaster with the cheerful manner and gentle voice who became the king of the top 40 countdown with a syndicated show that ran for decades, died Sunday. Kasem's "American Top 40" began on July 4, 1970, in Los Angeles. The No. 1 song on his list then was "Mama Told Me Not to Come," by Three Dog Night. The show continued until his retirement in 2009. In his signoff, he would say: "And don't forget: keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching... Read More

The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report on the airplane crash that killed Lewis Katz and 6 others outside Boston on May 31st. started: 06/13/14 6:01 pm | updated: 06/13/14 6:01 pm

On Tuesday night, June 10th a couple of friends and I went to a free concert at Wellington Square Exton, Pa. There are a series of free concerts called Eagleview Summer Concerts on the Square. On this night, the reason I went was to see Treetop Flyers. They are a group form the U.K. They play a brand of Laural Canyon rock reminiscent of Poco, America, Pure Prairie League and a touch of The Eagles.

Caroline Rose was the warm up act. They are a trio named after the lead... Read More

A former Philadelphia transit officer is charged with handcuffing a woman who complained that he cut the line for coffee at a Dunkin' Donuts on Christmas morning. Prosecutors say 42-year-old Douglas Ioven was in uniform and off duty at Suburban Station when he jumped the line. One woman complained that he stepped on her foot, prompting a confrontation between them. He then handcuffed her and charged her with disorderly conduct.
