Cheltenham Township may have to tear down Cedarbrook Middle School and rebuild to fix a mold problem first discovered 10 years ago. For the safety of the children, many instructional spaces have been closed and 700 students may have to find another school while the decision is made to repair or replace the school. 10 of 19 classrooms including the cafeteria have been sealed off and closed due to the mold problem. The body of a woman found fatally shot in Riverton, NJ, early Sunday morning has been identified. 22-year-old Te'Aira Denise Earvin of Youngstown, Ohio was discovered on Carriage House Lane, between Lippincott and Thomas avenues at 5:20 am. She had been shot twice and pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner has declared this a homicide. The investigation is underway and no arrests are underway. Barricaded Temple Student, Murder in Riverton, Valley Forge Park Protest

The barricade standoff has ended. A Temple University student barricaded himself in the basement of a home with a gun near the campus yesterday. The standoff lasted 20 hours before police negotiated with the man witnesses saw pointing the gun out a window. Investigators say he has a history of mental health issues.

Gussie Clark Passes at 81, Columbus Day Parade, Eagles Win 2nd in a Row

Augusta "Gussie" Clark passed away this weekend. She was only the 2nd African-American female elected to serve as a Philadelphia City Councilwoman, a position she held for two decades. Clark was elected to serve as a Democratic Councilwoman at-large in 1980. She served as Chair of the Education Committee and also as Chair of the Public Property and Public Works Committee before retiring in 2000. Augusta Clark was 81 years old.

A top Pennsylvania state senator thinks it is time that we increase the maximum speed limit on highways from 65 to 70 miles per hour. Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati said that he plans to introduce legislature that will allow for the higher speeds. He says the higher speed limits would allow traffic to flow easier and the delivery of goods to be more efficient. 34 other states allow at least 70 mph and 16 of those allow 75 mph.
