Six Flags Great Adventure is combining its animal safari with its amusement and water parks into one attraction that it claims will be the world's largest theme park next year, about 10 acres larger than Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando. The popular drive thru safari is ending Sept. 30, but guests will be driven through a revamped safari area next year on park-provided open air vehicles. They'll even be able to pet or hand feed some of the animals, and can ride a zip line above them.Read More

The Made in America Festival schedule has been announced for Labor Day Weekend. One notable cancelation is Chris Cornell due to a scheduling conflict. He'll be performing at an Obama fundraiser/ rally in Iowa on Saturday and can't make it to Philly for MIA on Sunday. That means no Temple of the Dog reunion with Pearl Jam.

Also, the festival has been billed as 3 stages + DJ tent since it's inception. This released schedule only includes two of those stages plus the tent. The... Read More

Madonna took the stage nearly three hours late in Philadelphia Tuesday evening. Some concert goers were so frustrated that they left the Wells Fargo Center before the show even began. The concert was scheduled to start at 8 p.m., but Madonna did not take the stage until about 10:30 p.m. Making matters worse for fans was the fact that there was no opening act, simply a DJ spinning some tunes. When Madonna finally did take the stage, she apparently apologized to the crowd. However, in typical... Read More

SEPTA Has No Plans For Extra Festival Trains; Chalfont Police Shooting was a Hoax

  by: iradioal - Philadelphia, PA
started: 08/29/12 12:29 am | updated: 08/29/12 12:29 am

SEPTA does not plan to run extra trains after the Parkway concerts this weekend. They will add a few extra cars to the the Regional Rail trains, but don't necessarily rely on them to get home. They'll be running on their reduced weekend schedule and that means reduced capacity and some line's last trains departing around 11 pm. The City has been telling people to take public transport, but that won't help people trying to go home to the suburbs on the rails unless they leave the concerts early.... Read More

It is been rumored by an anonymous inside source that Beyonce is planning a surprise appearance at her husband's eclectic "Made in America" Festival in Philadelphia. As audience members are coming from all over the country to attend, these rumors only increase the excitement for this coming weekend. The rumors are made more believable seeing that Ron Howard is using footage of the festival to create a documentary, which I'm sure Beyonce and Jay-Z would want to share. This also means that Blue...
