Its been four months since a natural gas explosion killed 19 year old PGW worker, Mark Keeley. T-shirts have been sold to raise money for alopecia research. PGW's website portal is accepting donations to St Cecilia's CYO, where Mark volunteered and coached. And there's a campaign in motion to bring Mark's favorite band, Mumford and Sons to Philadelphia on its summer tour.

Chase Utley makes first official rehab start

When will Chase Utley be back? Well, we have a much better idea on how to answer that question. After he made his first official rehab start today for the Clearwater Threshers, it opens up the 20 day window that he can make minor league rehab appearances before he has to be activated to the major league roster. Now there are some exceptions to that rule, he can take a 5 day timeout to that window, and if there are major complications he could shut it down completely. But everything is pointing... Read More

Race Street Pier Opening

This week the $6 million Race Street Pier on the former Pier 11 gets unveiled. Multilayered, with an upper boardwalk, trees, benches, free Wifi and a lower lawn with it easily accessible by foot from Old City and surrounding neighborhoods.

You’ll be out on the river, close to the water, right alongside the Ben Franklin Bridge.
Mayor Nutter says, "It's going to be one of the great gathering places in the city.”

After two years of designing, manufacturing, and installation, the pendulum style ride known simply as "It" officially opens Memorial Day Weekend.

All Star Candidate Chase Utley Reports Progress

This week we got an indication from manager, Charlie Manuel and Chase Utley himself that the All Star second baseman may be getting back to live action soon. That's welcome news for many fans who are already voting for him to play in this year's All Star Game.
