All of this will end in the fall with the realization of our expectations and October baseball and a World... Read More

Radiation from Japan has apparently reached Pennsylvania. According to the Department of Environmental Protection, air sampling was conducted in Harrisburg over an eight day period and shows higher than normal levels of radiation in the air, but still far below any danger level. Last week, elevated concentrations of radiation were found in rain water here and follow up tests are underway. Governor Corbett has assured us the public drinking water is just fine. Schools and bullying at a different level in Philadelphia. Philadelphia public school officials feel that the state government is bullying the district into a $629 million dollar budget shortfall created largely by slashed state support. Now the Philadelphia district is forced to make drastic changes, otherwise, they say they’ll be forced to cut all athletics, instrumental-music programs, bilingual counselors, summer programs and gifted-and-talented programs.
