THE DIRTY COWARDS AND THE BARREL FIRES
ANNOUNCE JOINT ALBUM RELEASE PARTY AT L’ETAGE
For immediate release — October 29, 2015 (Philadelphia, PA) — Philadelphia/Brooklyn alt-country duo The Dirty Cowards have announced a joint album release party with Philadelphia indie rock band The Barrel Fires. The show, which is free and open to the public, will take place December 2 at L’etage at 624 South 6th Street in South Philadelphia.
The bands plan to showcase new music from their respective debut albums, World of Strangers and Lost and Found. Both albums will be available to fans during and after the show.
“We’re really excited to share the stage with The Barrel Fires and release our albums together,†noted Dan Reed, frontman of The Dirty Cowards. “We’re in slightly different genres, but they have an amazing sound and this just seemed like a perfect fit.â€
In addition, The Dirty Cowards are making World of Strangers, recorded at South Philadelphia’s Turtle Studios, available for free download on their page at bandcamp.com.

About The Dirty Cowards
After a dozen years of making music and writing songs together, The Dirty Cowards (singer Dan Reed and guitarist Rob Ponce) have compiled their best songs into a debut album World of Strangers. The album, a mix of deeply personal narratives and rowdy foot-stompers, sums up a long, emotional journey filled with broken relationships, wandering travels and a few diversions into mythology. The Dirty Cowards' sound has been compared to Townes Van Zandt, Ramblin' Jack Elliott and The Violent Femmes.
About The Barrel Fires
The Barrel Fires have come out of hiding. Only a year since joining forces, the tight four-piece emerges as an unapologetic rock band on their new EP Lost and Found. With an engaging set of catchy original tunes, The Barrel Fires bring the heat with their dynamic driving energy. An all-star collaboration of singer-songwriter-guitarist Jay Carlis, guitarist Mike Kay, bassist Josh Meyer and drummer Dave Rodbart, The Barrel Fires are lighting up the Philly indie scene with a fresh take on good old rock and roll.
