The Appel Farm Arts and Music Festival will take place on Saturday, June 1st from 11:30 am-8:00 pm in Elmer, NJ. The proceeds for the festival all go to the Appel Farm’s summer arts camp scholarship program and community arts outreach residencies in different public schools through out the area.
Many of the artists that will be featured at the festival will be celebrating their craft in folk, blues, alt-country, roots, Celtic and acoustic rock. Performances will include: Brandi Carlile, Delta Spirit, Colin Hay, Delta Rae, Iris DeMent, John Gorka, Brother Joscephus and the Love Revolution, Caravan of Thieves, Aoife O’Donovan, Low Cut Connie, and Joe Crookston.
There are plenty of opprounities for transportation to the festival this year. There will be a charter bus from Fergie’s Pub which is located on 1214 Sansom Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition, the Salem County Cycling Trip will be held for cyclists of all ages leaving from the Festival parking lot at 9:00 am.
For the kids, there is a Children’s Village. Children can enjoy performances of puppet theatre, magicians, jugglers and many story tellers. Also, there will be alot of free arts and crafts for all children to enjoy. In addition, there will be a Crafts Fair where 50 artists come and showcase their hand-made work.
Lastly, the Festival will have its very own Beer and Wine tent. This will include micro-brew specialty beers and the award-winning local wine from the company, Flying Fish.
