27 Arrested For Child Porn in NJ, Space Shuttle Flies Over DC, No Arson in Villanova Mansion Fire

27 people in New Jersey have been arrested in association with a child pornography ring, New Jersey State Police announced today. A three month long investigation and 5 day long sweep called "Operation Watchdog" rounded up the suspects in twenty-six towns all across the state, half of them in South Jersey between April 9th and April 13th. The suspects ranged widely in age from 66 to 17, and also included one female. Each suspect is being charged with Distribution and Possession of Child Pornography, with some having additional charges. All of the suspects used the Internet to download and/or distribute the material.

The Space Shuttle Discovery took one final flight today. This time on the back of a 747 on its way from Cape Canaveral, FL to Washington, DC where it will stay at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Annex. Before landing at Dulles Airport though, the 30 year veteran of space travel awed the nation's capital with three low altitude laps around the White House, the Capitol and the Washington Monument. The crowds cheered as she made her way through the partly cloudy skies today, reminding us all what what can accomplish.

Arson has been ruled out as the cause of the fire that destroyed the Bloomfield mansion two weeks ago on April 4th. The over one hundred year old, multimillion dollar mansion in Villanova was totally consumed by a fire, that investigators say, started in the cellar near electrical wiring. It then went up a shaft for a dumb waiter to the attic where it baked under the slate roof before the entire 22-room house went up. Authorities say although the cause does not appear to be criminal in nature, they still aren't sure of the cause. They are still investing.
