A Haverford High teacher, Keith Barnes, 50 is charged with endangering the welfare of children and disorderly conduct and is suspended from his job after bringing his sons age 4 and 3 to Tom and Jerry's Sports Bar on McDade Blvd, and locking the younger one in his car alone when he became unruly. Police responded to a call of a child alone in a car, Barnes came out of the bar with his other son and didn't see the big deal. They were there watching the band Blackthorn play.

NJ Officials raided four stores in the past week for selling synthetic marijuana otherwise known as Spice or K2. A state-wide ban took effect of Feb 28th, and stores had until March 10th to surrender any product they had. Penalties for selling the synthetic drugs include up to 5 years in jail or $25,000 fine. More busts are planned and all police departments are encouraged to enforce the ban. The stores were in Willingboro, Northfield, Burlington City and Burlington Township.

Walnut Street will be closed between 16th and 18th from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and next Monday, for a Hollywood mob movie, “Dead Man Down.” The movie, which has been shooting around town lately, stars Colin Farrell, Terrence Howard and Noomi Rapace (of the original Swedish “Dragon Tattoo” movies). No closures are planned for Saturday or Sunday.

In Sports, former San Diego LB Junior Seau was found dead in his California home of an apparent suicide.

Phillies placed Jim Thome on the 15-day disabled list with a strained lower back

Expect some cloudy skies with some showers this evening, temperatures will remain around 60 in Philadelphia.
